About me

Ephrem Adisa
Product Designer, Jirtuu
From blueprints to pixels: My journey to Product Design.
I didn't start my career in tech. I actually started in architecture.
During my third year of architecture school, I was looking for a new skill to learn over semester break. A career personality test pointed me toward UI/UX design. I was curious, so I took the Google UX Design Certificate course—and it completely changed my trajectory.
I quickly realized that designing digital products isn't that different from designing buildings. Both require a deep understanding of human behavior, structure, and problem-solving. I still live by the classic architectural rule: 'Form follows function.' A beautiful app is useless if it doesn't solve the user's problem.
Today, I work primarily with early-stage startups in the US, Europe, and globally. I pride myself on fast execution, an intense curiosity to learn new tools (including AI and Framer), and an adaptable mindset.
A few quick facts about me:
🌍 Ranked in the Top 20 designers in Ethiopia on Behance.
🛠️ Fast learner who quickly masters new design software.
🤝 I believe the best products are built through collaboration, continuous learning, and a bit of flexibility.
